Business Process Improvement & Automation Consultant
Total Experience: 12 – 15 Years
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in Business Process Improvement, Operational Excellence, Transformation, or Consulting roles.
- Strong expertise in Business Process Reengineering (BPR), Lean, Six Sigma, BPM, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Experience facilitating workshops, process discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and value-stream mapping exercises.
- Ability to document current-state and future-state processes, business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications.
- Strong executive communication, presentation, and change management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification.
- Experience working with AI, RPA, Power Automate, Power Platform, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or intelligent automation programs.
- Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, Boomi, ERP, CRM, and enterprise platforms.
- Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, process mining, and analytics tools.
- Exposure to cloud transformation, managed services, and IT modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Process Discovery & Redesign
- Partner with business leaders to identify operational pain points, inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Lead process discovery workshops, interviews, and current-state assessments.
- Develop process maps, SIPOCs, value-stream maps, and future-state designs.
- Prioritize opportunities based on business value, complexity, risk, and ROI.
Automation Opportunity Assessment
- Identify processes suitable for AI, RPA, workflow automation, analytics, and low-code solutions.
- Translate business requirements into automation opportunities for AI and Automation engineering teams.
- Prepare business cases, cost-benefit analyses, effort estimates, and implementation roadmaps.
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and automation delivery teams.
Transformation & Change Management
- Drive adoption of redesigned processes and automation solutions.
- Develop SOPs, governance frameworks, training materials, and communication plans.
- Define KPIs and success metrics to measure transformation outcomes.
Stakeholder Management & Consulting
- Present recommendations and transformation strategies to senior leadership.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across business, operations, technology, and automation teams.
- Support client workshops, assessments, and digital transformation engagements.
