Team Lead – Finance Operations

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Commerce (MBA / CA / CPA is an added advantage)
  • 8–12 years of experience in finance & accounting operations
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing teams in a BPO/KPO or shared services environment
  • Strong exposure to global clients and service delivery models
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting processes (AP, AR, GL, R2R, P2P, O2C)
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team supporting end-to-end finance operations (AP, AR, GL, Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash)
  • Ensure high-quality service delivery in line with client SLAs, KPIs, and turnaround times
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing stakeholder communication and expectations
  • Drive month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities with accuracy and timeliness
  • Review and validate financial reports, reconciliations, and accounting entries
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and drive automation/standardization initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with client policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage audits (internal/external) and ensure proper documentation and controls
  • Handle escalations, resolve issues proactively, and maintain strong client relationships
  • Track team performance, provide coaching, and conduct regular reviews
  • Support transitions, migrations, and new client onboarding initiatives
